The Music for A Hat for the Camel was inspired
by a song Tasha wrote for her character, Madame Blanche,
a Milliner with exceptional qualities. As our ideas
for the song grew, so also did our excitement and passion
for the whole project. Before we knew it, we were composing
a soundtrack of six full-length pieces.
In order to present the character of Madame Blanche,
Tasha, Joe & I wanted to create music that portrayed
the essence of France in the 1940s.
To do justice to both the film and score it was essential
that the music was performed and recorded using real
instruments. With absolutely no budget, we are delighted
that we managed to achieve this.
